These tones use real instrument and choir recordings, hosted with the site. Only the samples needed for a passage are loaded.

Preparation for this site
Selected sustained articulations and one piano dynamic layer; level-matched, converted to stereo 44.1 kHz / 16-bit lossless FLAC. Orchestral recordings have trimmed leading silence and crossfaded sustain loops for long notes. The choir retains its original key regions and loop points. The piano retains its natural decay. These adaptations are by the Vidal studio project; the recording creators do not endorse this site.
String quartet uses two violin parts, solo viola and solo cello. Wind quartet uses flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon. Brass quartet uses trumpet, French horn, trombone and tuba. The chorale uses sampled choir vowels, without words or separately recorded SATB sections. All parts play at concert pitch; notes outside a recording’s range use the nearest sample, transposed.
